GROOMING POLICY

 Grooming Policy

 

Head 2 Tail Grooming Salon takes every care and precaution to ensure that your dog's grooming experience is as safe and pleasant as possible.

 

Health & Medical Problems

 

Grooming can sometimes expose hidden medical problems or aggravate current ones during or after grooming. In any of these instances, all veterinary care expenses must be covered by the dog's owner.

 

Accidents

​

There is always a risk when dealing with animals. In the event of an accident, the owner will be contacted immediately. If Head 2 Tail Grooming Salon deems it as serious and the owner is not contactable, Head 2 Tail Grooming Salon will seek immediate veterinary care for your dog. All expenses are the responsibility of the owner, and Head 2 Tail Grooming Salon will not be held responsible for any pet that may pass away during the grooming process.

 

Fleas

Should your dog have any fleas, they will be given a flea bath at your expense of an extra $10-15.

 

Dangerous or Aggressive Animals or Refusal of Services

​

If your pet becomes too stressed or dangerous to groom, Head 2 Tail Grooming Salon has the right to refuse, stop or cancel grooming services at any time before, during or after the booked session. The client will be charged appropriately for work completed to that point.

 

Matted Coats

​

Keeping your dog free of matts is the sole responsibility of the pet owner.

If you can't remove the matts, neither can we!

 

Accidents and injury can occur when removing excessive matts & tangles. Head 2 Tail Grooming Salon will not be held responsible for any injury that may occur due to the removal of matts & tangles.

 

Pets with matted coats require extra attention. In the case of extreme matting, your dog will be clipped short to remove matting, you acknowledge that you agree to this procedure and any risk. There will be an additional minimum charge of $25 for this process. Head 2 Tail Grooming Salon will not and cannot brush out excessive matts or knots. It is painful for your dog as well as being unnecessary.

 

Interruptions During Grooming Services

If you come to pick up your dog before you have received a message from us, and it is still being groomed, please DO NOT talk to your pet or allow him/her to see you. We ask that you step outside until the grooming is completed. If your pet becomes too distracted to finish grooming, we reserve the right to end the session, and the full price will be charged.

 

Cancellations or No Shows

​

Late cancellations (inside 24 hrs) and no - shows will incur a 50% missed appointment fee, which will need to be pre-paid to secure your next booking

 

Payments

​

Payment is strictly due at the arranged time of picking up of your dog. Pricing is subject to change. Late payment is subject to additional fees.

 

Satisfaction

​

Your satisfaction is important to us. If you are unhappy with our service or would like any changes, please let us know when you pick up your dog before leaving our premises. Once a dog leaves, Head 2 Tail Grooming Salon will not be responsible for any occurrences whilst in the pet owners care. Any return visits are treated as a new appointment and charged accordingly. We love positive feedback here and do our very best to keep you and your dog happy when you leave our salon

 

Photographs

This release authorises that Head 2 Tail Grooming Salon is permitted to take photos of your dog for our client file, and for any marketing or advertising by us. All photos taken are property of Head 2 Tail Grooming Salon.
